Rio Haeussler Albi

Hi! I’m Rio, a first-year PhD student in mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am broadly interested in homological algebra and (higher) category theory, and their interaction with algebraic geometry/topology.

Outside of math, I’m a passionate soccer (or football, as it should be called) player and avid skier. I was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in Hamburg, Germany where I also completed my Bachelor’s degree.
